Description
Largoward Parish Church is an 1835 building, originally constructed as a chapel of ease. It is a simple rectangular structure with a four-window south front of rough ashlar, while the remainder of the building is constructed of whin rubble with droved dressings. A simple bellcote, featuring a ball finial on corbels, sits atop the roof. Further features include a piended porch on the east side, a lean-to session house on the west side, and a lean-to gig or hearse house attached to the rear wall. The building remains in ecclesiastical use. References can be found in NSA v IX p333.
