Description
Cults Farm House is an early 19th-century house, originally three bays wide and two stories high, with a later extension to the east. The west elevation is constructed of droved ashlar, with ashlar margins, while the rest of the building is rubble-built. A later rendered and glazed porch, topped with cast-iron brattishing, now sits behind the central door. The windows are 12-pane sashes. The house has grouped end stacks and a piended slate roof with projecting eaves. The east extension adds three bays to the east elevation and incorporates a massive central wall-head stack. It has a slate roof with short eaves and an additional entrance in a low block to the north.
A rubble-built garden wall stands around the property, punctuated by square gatepiers faced with bull-nosed ashlar. Spiked cast-iron gates and railings complete the enclosure.
