Description
Glenely and Norwich are an early 19th-century pair of two-storey houses with an attic, located on Ladybank Road, Kingskettle. The house on the east, Glenely, was built first. Both houses are constructed of droved ashlar. The south elevation features a central doorway and altered ground floor window openings, with plate glass sash windows on the first floor. Glenely has a large glazed sunlounge extending across the central and right bays. The houses have a narrow eaves band, straight roof skews, corniced end stacks, and slate roofs. The west gable elevation includes a single plate glass sash window on each floor, and two small square attic windows. The houses are set within a rectangular garden enclosed by a rubble wall, with corniced square gatepiers topped with pyramidal caps. Glenely and Norwich are understood as a group with the nearby Rowanlea.
