Description
Sunnyside and Inchyra are a pair of houses dating from the mid-19th century, situated on Main Street, Kingskettle. They are two storeys in height and feature three bays each. Inchyra is constructed of snecked and squared ashlar, while Sunnyside is built of rubble, both materials being whinstone. Contrasting long and short yellow ashlar dressings are used on both properties. Each house has a centrally located recessed panelled door, above which is a fanlight, and windows with 12 panes to the sashes. The houses are topped by corniced end stacks and a slate roof. These properties do not appear on the first edition Ordnance Survey map, surveyed in 1854.
