Norwich, Ladybank Road, Kingskettle

These are a pair of houses dating from the earlier 19th century, located on Ladybank Road in Norwich, and identified as Glenely and the adjacent house. They are two storeys with an attic, each originally featuring three bays. Both houses are constructed of droved ashlar. The south elevation has a central front door and altered ground floor window openings; the first floor features plate glass sash windows. Glenely, the house on the east side, incorporates a large glazed sunlounge to the centre and right bays. A narrow eaves band runs around the building, and the roofs are slate covered with straight skews and corniced end stacks. The west gable elevation has a single plate glass sash window on each floor, along with two small, square attic lights. The houses are set within a rectangular garden enclosed by a rubble wall with corniced square gatepiers topped with pyramidal caps. The properties are understood to be linked with a neighbouring house, Rowanlea, as a group.
