Description

Kilburns Farmhouse dates from around 1780 and was remodeled around 1830. It is a single-storey building with a blind attic to the south and two storeys with an attic on the northern side due to the slope of the ground. The structure is built from rubble with droved dressings that are painted white, leaving the margins exposed. It has a slated roof with broad eaves and brick chimneys. The front features a two-window layout and a broad doorpiece with a plain pediment, while the back has a three-window arrangement with a central gablet and two later added two-light dormers. The windows have largely been reglazed, and the farmhouse was renovated in 1968.
