Description
The Gate Lodge at Naughton House dates from before 1832. Originally located on the west side of the drive, it was moved to the south axis and enlarged at the rear around 1900. The entrance features five out of the original six quatrefoil gatepiers, which have pointed capping (two of these are damaged), and four gatepiers are located on the lodge side. The lodge itself is a single-storey structure made of ashlar stone, with splayed angles. It has two windows and a central semi-octagonal porch supported by four Roman Doric columns. The windows are mullioned and transomed, and the lodge has a broad eaved piended roof that is slated.
