1 West Lights, West Common, Tayport, was built in 1823 by the Corporation of the Trinity House Dundee, with a tablet at the wall-head stating "William Nicoll Esquire Master." The building is a single-storey structure featuring two windows and a central door. It is constructed from rubble with droved dressings and margins.
