Description
Eildon House, located on Dingleton Road in Melrose, was built in 1814 by John Smith of Darnock. This two-storey building features three bays, with the central bay being advanced and adorned with a cornice, blocking course, and a block pediment. The entrance is marked by a central door that has a corniced architrave and a fanlight above it. The structure is constructed from coursed squared rubble with dressed freestone details. It has straight skews and rectangular block corniced end-stacks, topped with a slated roof.
