Description

8 West Lights in Tayport was originally built in 1823 and resembles the East lighthouse, constructed from rubble and finished with stucco. The building was later raised and features dumbbell slit decoration, a corbelled parapet with a railing, and an octagonal cupola. Initially a single-storey structure, it has a two-window facade with a central door, made of whitewashed rubble. The building was subsequently extended at both gables using whitewashed brick and has a slated roof.
