3, 5, 7 And 9 Main Street, West Wemyss

3, 5, 7 and 9 Main Street in West Wemyss is an early 19th-century, two-storey, six-bay tenement that was altered in the early 20th century. The building is harled with stone margins and features stone mullions.

On the southeast elevation facing Main Street, No 1 is located to the left of the centre and has two windows on each floor. The slightly taller block includes Nos 3 and 7 at the centre and Nos 5 and 9 to the right, each with two bipartite windows on each floor. The outer right corner has a rounded angle that is corbelled to a square at the first floor.

The southwest elevation features a gabled section for No 1, with windows positioned to the right and left of centre on the ground floor, and a central window on the first floor. There is a screen wall with a round-arched entrance on the outer left.

On the northeast elevation, which faces Broad Wynd, there is a window to the right of centre on the first floor.

The building has timber sash and case windows with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The stacks are coped and harled, with cans. The roof is covered with pantiles, and the skews are ashlar-coped with block skewputts.

The boundary walls are made of coped rubble.
