Description
This is a late 17th-century dovecot of a lean-to, single-chamber, lectern design. The dovecot has a rectangular plan and is constructed from random rubble with ashlar quoins. It features crowsteps, a stepped rat-course acting as an alighting ledge, and a moulded cornice. A central door is located on the south side. The interior is lined with stone nesting boxes, and despite the loss of the roof, the interior remains in good condition. The dovecot is referenced in the Historic Environment Scotland RCAHMS inventory from 1933.
