Description
Cardy Cottage, dated 1885 and built by David Gillies of Lower Largo, comprises a pair of single-storey and attic cottages, each with two bays. The cottages are constructed of stugged and snecked, squared rubble with ashlar dressings and rusticated quoins; the end gable is harled. Original features include two central doors, two flanking windows, all set within blocked architraves, and two large, piended canted dormers. Chimneys are positioned at each end, and the roof is covered in slate. These cottages originally served as combined gardener's and network manager’s residences.
