Description
Loaning Hill is an 18th-century building, originally two two-storey houses. It is constructed of whin rubble with a pantile roof and is built into a bank, with a modern single-storey addition to the south. A low single-storey out-shot projects from the north side. The eastern house is partially overgrown, and the fenestration (window and door placement) of both houses is very irregular. The building was re-categorised from a building of local interest to a building of group value in 2006, reflecting its significance within the surrounding area. The listing applies to both the interior and exterior of the building. Loaning Hill suffered fire damage in early 2011, and the listing description was updated to reflect this. The statutory address is Loaning Hill.
