Description
Viewfield Cottage is an early 19th-century building featuring a single-storey and attic design. The front is made of ashlar stone with quoin ends. It has a central doorpiece supported by unfluted Greek Doric columns, which is flanked by later bay and bipartite windows; the original design included two windows and a central door. The roof is slated and has two small piended dormers. The cottage also displays cable-moulded scroll skews and a rubble gable. To the southeast, there is a low pantiled wing with a scroll skew, and a slated wing beyond it. The property is marked by square gatepiers with moulded capitals.
