Description

Balfour House, located at 60 Marketgate in Crail, dates from around 1900. This two-storey building features a basement and has two windows. It is constructed from snecked rubble and includes a pedimented dormer head facing Marketgate, along with crowstepped gables. The property has a wrought-iron railed forestair and a corbelled angle oriel with an ogee roof that faces Tolbooth Street. There is also an old inset stone that reads, "God's Blessing is my land and rent."
