Description
Hazel Cottage is a single-storey cottage built around 1855-1860. It is constructed from squared rubble with droved ashlar dressings. Originally two cottages, it now features a door with a small porch and five windows, with the second window from the left having been a door. The other windows retain their original 12-pane glazing. The cottage has a piended pantiled roof and two droved ashlar stacks with cavetto cornices, along with a tall brick stack on the west side. The rear of the cottage has a U-plan layout, with the west wing being longer than the east wing. This wing includes a door and a window in the gable, as well as a central outshot that has a brick and corrugated iron roof.
