Description
Cameron Kirk is a simple, plain Georgian building dating from 1808. It has a gabled rectangular shape and is constructed from roughly coursed rubble with droved dressings. The south side features four round-arched windows, while the east gable has a plain door. There are two plain doors on the west gable, all of which are square headed. Above the west gable, there is a birdcage belfry composed of two tiers of balusters. The north side includes three windows and a slated catslide vestry. The building has a slated roof with straight skews and a tall square stack at the southwest angle, along with a central ventilator at the roof ridge. Inside, there is a semi-octagonal timber gallery supported by four timber columns, with deep necking around the west, north, and east sides of the church. The original panelled gallery fronts remain, although the interior has been largely refurnished by Gillespie of St Andrew's in 1898 and 1902. The ceiling is plain, featuring a central fan motif.
