Description

Dated 184(1)? J Gillespie Graham, architect (?). Single

storey freestone school with one storey plus attic

schoolhouse integrated at rear. Gothic. Advanced bell-cote

range in south front, slate roofs, skew gables with moulded

copings and squared ends, corbelled chimney bases (stacks

removed) to side gables, cutstone brackets to pointed

bell-cote on south gable, 3 light traceried window below,

triple chimney stacks diagonally placed in centre of roof.

Schoolroom windows to right original sashes in pointed

openings, altered glazing to left range (including modern

dormer). A second similar range set back to left with

original paired chimneys and gabled dormer with arched

bipartite window; a further short gabled wing runs north at

rear, details as before, entrance in angle.
