Description

The walled garden at Myres Castle dates from the mid-19th century and features low rubble walls, which are partly lined with brick on the south side, topped with ashlar coping. The west wall and the southwest wall have been demolished. Near the circular southwest angle tower of the castle, there are two square ashlar gatepiers. Additionally, there is a plain baluster sundial dated 1909, which stands on a stepped base capped by a small figure. The base of the sundial includes a lead statue of Mercury, made from re-used carved stones.
