Description

R & R Dickson, 1823; extended 20th century. Single storey, originally L Plan, classical lodge house with columned porch. Dressed ashlar with polished ashlar (stone cleaned?) and harled extension. Base course, eaves cornice and blocking course. Architraved windows and stone mullions.

N ELEVATION: dominant flat roofed, open stone porch in re entrant angle to right with Doric column to NW, pilasters to NE and to SW, and set back modern timber door. Canted window with flat roof in gabled bay to left.

W ELEVATION: gabled bay to right with canted window, narrow window on recessed face of porch (see above) to left, blank face of modern, flat roofed extension to outer right.

E ELEVATION: deeply moulded square windows on 3 ?S? scroll brackets to right and left of centre in slightly advanced bays. Modern extension adjoining at outer left.

S ELEVATION: modern extension with timber door at centre and windows in flanking bays.

Plate glass glazing in timber sash and case windows to N and W, timber casement windows elsewhere. Grey slates. Shouldered and coped ashlar stack.

BOUNDARY WALLS: coped rubble boundary walls.
