Maverton Buildings, 202-210 Fenwick Road, Giffnock

Maverton Buildings, located at 192-200 Fenwick Road in Giffnock, was built around 1905. It features a symmetrical, wide two-storey facade made of red ashlar. The ground floor contains shops, while the basement, originally Maverton hall, has been divided for shop storage. The shop fronts are situated beneath a cornice on the ground floor, with two close doors that have red granite-columned porches.

The building has a twin-gabled center and outer bays that are topped with parapets, each adorned with finials and canted windows. The roofs of these windows are connected to the deep-eaved main slate roof. The intermediate bays feature wide, depressed-arched windows with leaded upper panels, and there are corniced square chimney stacks.
