Description
This is a mid to later 18th century, two-storey, two-bay house situated on the street line in Aberlady. The exterior is white-painted harl with painted margins and a base course. The front facade features a doorway on the left side and a window on the right. A first-floor window is located to the left, while a small square window sits to the right, both positioned high under the eaves. A window is also present on the ground and first floors of the west-facing gable return. A substantial, piend-roofed brick addition projects from the rear, flanking the doorway with a modern glazed door, and featuring a small square window above. Most windows are sash and case with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The steeply pitched roof is covered in red pantiles, with straight skews and a coped stack to the west, adorned with decorative cans. Properties are adjacent to the east and west, with the property to the west being recessed to the north. A small yard is located at the rear. Historic maps from 1854 and 1799 depict the building.
