Description
Burnlea is an early 19th century, 2-storey, 5-bay classical house located at 9 High Street, Dunbar. The front of the house is made of ashlar stone with raised quoins, while the side and rear elevations are constructed from squared rubble. The building features a pilastered porch, a band course between the ground and first floors, and a cill band at the first floor. The windows have a 12-pane glazing pattern. Additional architectural details include an eaves course, a cornice, and a blocking course that is raised at the center with incised decorative detail. There are end stacks and a piended slate roof. A rear extension is present, along with a low coped garden wall.
