Muirfield Lodge, Main Street, Gullane

Muirfield Lodge is a single-storey, square-plan, three-bay gate lodge built in 1910 by Ernest Auldjo Jamieson, showcasing the Arts and Crafts style. The exterior is constructed from squared random rubble with droved ashlar dressings.

The west elevation is symmetrical, featuring a moulded, depressed arch door surround with a panelled door and flanking windows. The south elevation has bipartite windows, while the north elevation includes two single windows.

On the east elevation, there is a walled service court adjoining at the left and centre, which has two currently blocked windows leading to the outbuildings of the court. An arched gateway is located on the north side. The lodge retains a small-pane glazing pattern for the sash and case windows, which are currently open. The roof has swept eaves and is grey-green slated, with a piended, inverted funnel shape and a central moulded stack.
