Walled Garden, Morham Bank

Morham Bank is a farmhouse dating from around 1800, featuring two storeys and three bays, along with a single-storey addition. The building is constructed of rubble, harled on the front and rear, with red sandstone ashlar dressings, a base course, and a moulded eaves cornice.

On the south elevation, the three bays are grouped towards the centre, where there is a corniced doorway with a deep-set panelled door and a fanlight. Flanking windows are present in the outer bays, with additional windows on the first floor. The east elevation has a piend-roofed service addition at ground level, which is obscured to the south by a high, ashlar-coped blank screen wall. The west elevation features a window at the centre of each floor, and a stair window at the rear, with flanking windows, although the left ground window is obscured by the addition. The sash and case windows have a 12-pane glazing pattern, and the building is topped with grey slates on the piend roof.

The property includes a walled garden with high rubble walls that are ashlar-coped, located to the east of the house and connected to the house and steading. There is a low ashlar-coped rubble semi-circular terrace wall to the south of the house, featuring corniced and white-washed ashlar piers with pyramidal caps paired at the centre to close the terrace. The gatepiers are detailed similarly to those of the terrace wall.
