Description

Later to late 19th century. U-plan symmetrical range originally of 6 farm cottages (currently 5). Squared and snecked, stugged

sandstone; ashlar dressings with chamfered arrises. S

elevation: 13-bay, outer bays advanced. 5 bays at centre comprised of 2 single storey and attic cottages with depressed, keystone arched pend at centre; doorways in flanking bays and windows flanking doors with gabled dormer windows breaking eaves above. Single-storey. 3-bay cottages flanking each with doorway flanked by windows. Advanced outer bays with jerkin-heads and former windows blinded; doorways on inner return elevations, that to E blocked as window,and additional window to W. N elevation: smaller windows; piend-roofed projections to outer

cottages, and later porches added. 2 flat-roofed, leaded dormers inserted above centre. Variety of glazing patterns in sash and case windows. Brick stacks. Purple slates; decorative terracotta ridge tiles.
