Description

The Dovecot at Drylawhill Farm is likely a 16th century beehive dovecot situated on a rocky outcrop. It features random rubble harled walls that are pointed, measuring 4 feet thick at the base and with a circumference of 56 feet near the ground. There are two ashlar string courses. The doorway is located to the south, with 18 flight holes positioned below the eaves above. The dovecot has a slated conical roof that includes a small slated dormer on the south side. Inside, there are 683 nesting places.
