Description

Later 19th century. Terrace of 4 single storey farm cottages, advanced end bays forming shallow U-plan. Squared and snecked red sandstone with ashlar dressings, chamfered reveals stone mullions to bipartites. End cottages each have gabled porch set in re-entrant angle with window to front, door on inner return, bipartite to advanced gable end. 2 centre cottages, each with gabled porch and irregularly spaced and altered windows flanking; single box dormer to each attic. Lean-to additions at rear. Sash and case windows with variety of glazing patterns 4-pane predominating. Overhanging eaves, grey slates, coped ashlar stacks.
