Description

Earlier/mid 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay picturesque

Gothick detailed house with single storey extension to N.

Squared snecked rubble with random rubble. Stugged

ashlar dressings with chamfered arrises to openings.

W ELEVATION: gabled, finialled porch at centre with window

to W, panelled door to N. Timber mullioned bipartites

flanking at ground, stone mullioned at 1st floor. Gothick

dormerheads to 1st floor breaking eaves, most ornate to

centre with Y-tracery. Single storey bay to N with timber

mullioned bipartite.

E ELEVATION: as W with flat roofed modern extension to left.

Centre window at 1st floor blind.

N GABLE: hoodmoulded, stone mullioned bipartite at ground

to single storey advanced bay with blind pointed slit above.

Plate glass glazing to sash and case windows, and leaded

diamond glazing to casements. Slated roofs; main gables

gablet skews, consoled skewputts. Octagonal stacks

moulded at base and caps, paired on main gableheads.
