Description
This is a small, rectangular chapel built in the earlier 19th century, located on Main Street in Elphinstone. It has a three-bay design and features a piend-roof, positioned on sloping ground. The chapel is constructed from sandstone that is stugged, squared, and snecked, with a painted finish. It has a base course and an entrance door set in an advanced, steeply gabled bay. The door surround has chamfered arrises, a blank panel in the gablehead, and ashlar coping, with two-leaf chevron-boarded doors.
There are round-arched windows in the flanking bays, and the rear has two regular windows that are currently boarded up. The side elevations are blank. The glazing pattern consists of small panes with boarded heads in rounded arches, and the roof is covered with grey slates.
