Description

Circa 1800. 2-storey 3-bay farmhouse with mid 19th century single storey pavilions. Warm coloured stone, squared and coursed to S eelvation, with droved ahslar dressings, unusual pointing.

S ELEVATION: bays grouped towards centre. 2-leaf panelled door with fanlight; window in each flanking bay and to each bay at 1st floor.

PAVILIONS: adjoined to E and W gables; single storey piend-roofed; that to right with door and window to S (lying-pone glazing pattern), later harled, piend-roofed addition to N; that to left with large bipartite inserted and modern conservatory addtion to return.

N (rear) elevation: stair window at centre, above square stone porch addition.

Plate glass glazing pattern and sash and case windows predominating. Grey slates; 2 large piend-roofed slate hung dormers at rear, 1 small. End stacks.

RETAINING WALLS AND GATEPIERS: rubble walls with crenellated ashlar coping, to E and N. Large drum piers with ball finials to E, square piers with ashlar caps to N.
