Description

17 Church Hill in Dalmellington is a building dated 1858. It is two storeys high with an attic and features three windows. The building has advanced crow-stepped gables with skewputs at the ends, and it is constructed with coursed rubble and freestone dressings. The window margins are chamfered, and there is a pointed lunette in the attic. The ground floor has bipartite windows, and the modern glazing consists of small panes. The central doorpiece is adorned with an architrave and a keyblock, also dated 1858. At the rear, there is a marriage lintel from 1632 incorporated into the structure.
