Description

Upper Gate Lodge, designed by H E Clifford in 1908-1909, is a two-storey, asymmetrical building featuring a baronial arched gateway. It is constructed from snecked rubble with ashlar dressings. The semi-circular arched gateway is adorned with rope moulded decoration and has a corbelled, castellated parapet above. On the north elevation, there is a turret with a conical roof at the east, alongside a crowstepped gabled lodge wing further east. The roof is made of slate.
