Description
Darvel Central Church is an old quoad sacra church located in the center of Hastings Square. It features Gothic architecture, including a clock tower and steeple, and was built in the mid-19th century. Inside, there is a memorial window by Douglas Strachan that was transferred from Gowanbank, the home of Alexander Morton, who introduced the manufacture of Nottingham lace to the Irvine Valley in 1876.
