Description
These are a pair of gate piers and gates dating from the late 19th century. The gate piers are constructed of ashlar stone, featuring a base course, a moulded cornice, and pyramidal caps topped with ball finials. The gates themselves are cast iron, with decorative curvilinear ornament and spear-headed railings. A driveway leading to Auchinleck House was already present on maps from 1867, but the gate piers and gates appear to be a later addition from the late 19th century. The gates are situated on the Auchinleck Estate.
