2 Clive Street, Dundee

2 Clive Street in Dundee is a two-storey, asymmetrical Arts and Crafts villa designed by J H Langlands in 1906. The building is constructed of snecked rubble with ashlar dressings. The elevation facing Clive Street features an elliptical arched entrance that is consoled, with an advanced gabled bay to the right. The ground floor has a canted bay with a bipartite window above it. There is also an advanced three-light tower at the angle, which has a tall wallhead stack to the right.

On the elevation facing Argyll Street, there is a large advanced gable with a ground floor canted bay and a bipartite window above. The roof is piended and gabled, covered with slate and has tiled ridges. The eaves are swept and overhanging, supported by ornate wrought-iron brackets.

The building features cast-iron Art Nouveau rainwater goods and corniced stacks. The windows are sash and case, with four and six-paned upper cases and single-pane lower cases. There are low boundary walls surrounding the property, and a pedestrian gateway with a curved Art Nouveau parapet.
