Description
This is a 1765 road bridge built over the Fithie Burn. It is constructed of sandstone, with coursed and rubble masonry. The bridge features segmental arches, and the date "1765" is visible on the keystones of the central arch on both the north and south sides. It has coped cutwaters, and a rounded rubble-coped parapet. There is a heraldic panel on the north parapet, though the details are now indecipherable.
The bridge has been widened on the south side, and the date may refer to the widening rather than the original construction. The west bank of the burn has been extended, and the western arch has been bricked up. A section of the north parapet wall has been demolished, and the bridge has been bypassed.
