Description
12 Laurel Bank in Dundee is a detached manse built around 1850, featuring a later wing to the east. This two-storey building has three bays and is constructed from ashlar stone.
On the south elevation, there is a central entrance with a doorpiece that has pilasters and a pediment. To the right, an advanced canted bay window has four lights, while the left side features a ground floor bipartite window with a cornice. The windows are framed with architraves, and there is a main cornice running along the top.
The roof is piended and platformed, covered with slate, and includes wallhead and ridge stacks. The windows are sash and case style, with a mix of two and four-pane glazing patterns, and a twelve-pane design at the rear.
The property is marked by square pyramidal-capped gatepiers that include a delicate wrought iron lamp bracket. The boundary walls are low ashlar with wrought iron railings and cast-iron finials facing Laurel Bank, while there are high ashlar boundary walls along Prospect Place.
