Description
37 Hyndford Street in Dundee is a pair of symmetrical, semi-detached houses built in the Arts and Crafts style by Thoms and Wilkie around 1925. These single-storey and attic homes are designed to accommodate the steep slope of the ground.
The street-facing elevation features a canted inner bay for each house, with an off-centre door and a small outer window. The broad projecting eaves enhance the design, and a prominent M-shaped gable rises from the eaves, showcasing 4-light attic windows. A modern garage has been added to the south side.
The houses are topped with steep slate roofs and have a central chimney stack, with the upper part made of brick. The flat gables do not have skews or eaves. The windows are casement style, with a glazing pattern of 6 and 8 panes.
A low harled and coped boundary wall surrounds the property.
