Description
A Roman, or possibly Renaissance, sarcophagus stands within the grounds of Glenlee Park, and is currently used as a flower bed. The sarcophagus is elaborately carved with bas-relief figures and panels of strigillated decoration, featuring a central figurative panel. It has been damaged and subsequently repaired using metal bonding strips. The sarcophagus is part of the wider Glenlee Park B Group.
