Description
This is an earlier to mid-18th century carved urn, set upon a later 19th century pedestal. The urn features acanthus leaf carving to its lower portion, and the upper part contains cartouches depicting portraits of philosophers or virtues. A carved stone lid with a finial sits atop the urn, although this is likely not original to it. The pedestal is constructed of corniced ashlar and is of a square plan. The urn and pedestal are part of the Glenlee Park group.
