Description
This is a stableblock built between 1853 and 1893 as part of Glenlee House, forming a U-plan courtyard steading. The design is symmetrical, featuring a two-storey, seven-bay main block with projecting, single-storey wings, all enclosed by a coped, rendered rubble wall that completes the courtyard. The main block is constructed of rubble with bull-faced granite margins and rusticated quoins, while the outward-facing elevations are harled. The windows are single-light, 12-pane sash and case. The lower wings have wide vehicle entrances. The building incorporates corniced axial stacks and piended slate roofs. The stableblock is part of the wider Glenlee Park B group. It first appears on the Ordnance Survey map of 1893.
