Description
Hillridge is a two-storey house, formerly an inn, built around 1800. The building features an asymmetrical ground floor and has a pend with a loft above. It is constructed of whitewashed rubble with contrasting painted margins. The entrance is off-centre and includes a door with a fanlight and a simple canopy. To the right, there is a shallow pend arch with a boarded door, which has a square-headed design at the rear. The house has four windows on each floor, all of which are sash windows with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The first-floor windows are arranged in a 2 + 2-bay layout. There are four symmetrically placed end and axial stacks, three of which have been rebuilt in brick. The roof is covered with graded slates. On the rear elevation, there is a boarded loft door next to the pend.
