Description

The Episcopal Church of St John the Evangelist, located on Holm Street in Moffat, was designed by I G Lindsay and Partners of Edinburgh in 1951. The church features a cruciform plan with simple 18th century Gothic detailing. The exterior is harled with painted margins, and there is a porch in the northern arm along with a re-set window in the east gable. The roof is slated. Inside, the church has well-detailed fittings, including a pulpit and reading desk, as well as stained glass from 1898 by Lavers and Westlake in the northeast window.
