Description

Gilnockie Bridge, built in 1793, is a road bridge featuring two large segmental arches, one spanning the River Esk and the other over dry land. The roadway was widened on cantilevers, likely during the mid-20th century. The bridge has a substantial masonry abutment located between the arches, and it is topped with modern plain iron parapets set in concrete.
