Description
Glencartholm is a farmhouse built between 1814 and 1815, featuring two storeys and three bays. It consists of two parallel adjoining ranges that share a common long wall, with the northern range possibly dating back to the 18th century. To the east, there is an adjoining steading.
On the south elevation, the house is rendered with ashlar margins and has a central door with a fanlight set in cavetto reveals. It includes four-pane sash windows and a base course, along with an inscribed eaves and lintel band. The roofs are piended and covered with graded slates, featuring two corniced stacks located in the roof valley. The north elevation has three bays with 12-pane sash windows on the first floor and an additional door leading into the former steading range.
