Description

Early to earlier 19th century. Single storey and basement, 3-bay cottage. Rubble; cherry-caulked to S elevation. Projecting granite cills.

S (COMMERCIAL STREET) ELEVATION: doorway at centre; panelled door and letterbox fanlight; steps up to platt, with plain iron handrails. Windows in outer bays at ground floor. Boarded doors in outer bays at basement.

W ELEVATION: adjoined to No 5 Commercial Street.

E ELEVATION: adjoined to lower building, No 1 Commercial Street.

12-pane glazing in sash and case windows. Coped skews. Partly rendered rubble stacks, mutual to W, gablehead to E. Graded grey slates. 2 small rooflights to S pitch. Rubble, wall shielding basement area to front.
