Description
8 Crocket Road in Auchencairn is a mid-19th century building consisting of single-storey and attic cottages, each with two bays. The cottages are constructed from rubble with pinnings, featuring rock-faced granite quoins and margins. They have paired central doorways and four gabled dormers on the first floor. All windows are 12-pane sash windows. The flanks are painted rubble, and the roofs are slate with flat skews and corniced granite end stacks. There is a projecting modern single-storey porch at No 8, which has a hipped slate roof.
