Description

Dated 1722 on north west skewputt. 2-storey, 3-bay farmhouse;

single bay low east steading wing returns northwards, forming

forecourt. North elevation: rendered and lined as ashlar

(remainder pebble-dashed); central door in moulded

architrave, plate-glass sash windows in chamfered margins

(upper windows enlarged); eaves cornice; straight skews

(skewputt removed left); end stacks; roofed with graded

slates. South front also 3 bays, but spoilt; glazed centre

porch, left bay pushed forward. Wing is single storey with

loft beside house; altered fenestration; red rubble;

doors and single windows to forecourt; latter now mostly

concreted over, and is enclosed at west by ashlar-coped ball-

finialed square gatepiers to north with iron railings on

curved low quadrant walls and gates, all painted.
